No surround sound

Post by Davidz »

Hi, have just bought bluray ripper for mac.
I can't seem to get it set up to produce a surround sound track ie AC3 5.1 from either blu ray or DVD. I was hoping to play these through an Apple TV 3 and experience the surround sound.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Thanks for posting on Leawo forum.
Sorry to tell that only AVI, MP4, MKV file at Common Video can output 5.1 audio at present. Please also set Include Audio-Audio Codec as Audio Copy.
If you want to play the output video files on Apple TV3, we recommend you to check http://www.leawo.com/blu-ray-ripper-mac/user-guide.html , and set the output Common Video-MP4 parameters the same as Apple TV Profile.
Any other questions, feel free to let us know.
Best regards,

- Make sure the picture shows up on Mac from the Blu-ray Disc player and Mac is connected to the appropriate HDMI video input.
- If using an HDMI to DVI converter or cable, connect another cable to support the audio signal.
- Turn off and on the Blu-ray Disc player again
- If this problem is not fixed, try to replace the HDMI cable.
- If using an amplifier with an HDMI cable to connect the Blu-ray Disc player to the Mac, set Audio (HDMI) (Audio (HDMI)) or Digital Augio Output on Blu-ray Disc player to PCM to see if the amplifier is making sound.
- If the surround sound of the Blu-ray home theater system connected to the Mac is not working, confirm there is no sound from the rear speakers or you can listen to Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound via mac.
- If the volume is very low, select Audio DRC (Audio DRC) or Blu-ray Disc Player BD Audio Mix to Off.
- Set the Blu-ray player's BD Audio Mix setting to On if there is no sound when starting movie projection.
- If the problem still does not fix and if possible, try connecting to another device to determine if the Blu-ray Disc player is problematic.
